While envisioning the narrative structure of her forthcoming monograph, a series of four case studies, I drew on microhistory as a way to make complex analyses come to life.  During my research, I found that walking through a particular space helped the experience of my protagonists/subjects come to life for me, and so used the actual physical movements of my subjects as a structural device.  Employing this narrative style I also found allowed for convenient moments to "plant" moments of analysis without taking readers too far off the "story."
