Session Abstract
A roundtable discussion with generous interaction with the audience. Each participant will make some brief opening remarks and then follow up on questions from the audience and from other panelists.
The goal is to address in a relaxed but substantive manner some of the current challenges of researching, writing, teaching, and publishing in the field of world history, broadly conceived. Whom do world historians write for? Who are the consumers of world history? To what extent does world history attract new readers by crossing the boundary lines of specialized fields of study?
