Session Abstract

The majority of history PhD graduates who choose to pursue academic careers will find themselves teaching at colleges and universities where promotion and job security are predicated more on teaching success than on research productivity. In this session we will explore the ways historians can build successful careers around the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL) through research that focuses on understanding how students learn about the past.
